Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival to San Jose
- Arrive at the Juan Santamaria International Airport, San Jose.
- Meet one of our guides who will accompany you during your stay in Costa Rica.
- Transfer to the hotel in San José City.
- Overnight stay at KC Sabana Hotel Boutique (or similar).
Day 2: Coffee Estate/La Paz Waterfall
- Meet your local guide early this morning and visit the Doka Coffee Estate for a delicious breakfast and a coffee tour.
- Next, visit La Paz Waterfall Gardens for a scrumptious lunch and tour. Visit the waterfalls, the hummingbird gallery, the serpentarium, the bird house, the butterfly garden and the frog’s exhibit
- Return to the hotel. Overnight stay at KC Sabana Hotel Boutique or similar.
Day 3: Arenal/Tabacon
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Enjoy the journey to Arenal in your preferred transportation (either private car and driver or car rental). Your scenic drive will take you past banana plantations, heart palm estates and pineapple plantations.
- Arrival to Arenal, one of Costa Rica’s most panoramic areas with the majestic volcano as the backdrop.
- Afternoon at leisure to enjoy the spring waters and the hotel facilities, like hiking to the observatory point, visiting the frog farm and much more.
- You may choose to visit nearby Tabacon Hot Springs Resort during this time.
- Overnight stay at Los Lagos Hotel & Spa or similar
Day 4: La Fortuna Waterfall
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Enjoy a visit to La Fortuna Waterfall; one of the most popular attractions and destinations in the country.
- Afternoon at leisure to explore other nearby natural areas (recommendations will be provided). Hopefully you will get a glimpse of some of the local fauna as you explore this beautiful country.
- Overnight stay at Los Lagos Hotel & Spa or similar.
Day 5: Monteverde
- Enjoy a delicious breakfast and relax this morning with a soothing bath in the thermal waters.
- Depart for the Northwestern part of the country. Getting there will be half the fun today as you drive past scenic overviews and rugged roads that lead to your next stop!
- Arrive at one of Costa Rica’s gems: the Monteverde Cloud Forest.
- Check in to your hotel, El Establo Mountain Resort or similar, this afternoon and enjoy some time to explore the area at leisure.
- Overnight stay at El Faro Hotel or similar.
Day 6: Selvatura Park/Hanging Bridges/Manuel Antonio
- After breakfast, visit The Selvatura Park, where a great combo of activities awaits, including a Canopy Tour through the cloud forest and walking across the amazing Hanging Bridges.
- This afternoon, you’re off to the Pacific Coast.
- Head towards the Manuel Antonio National Park, and take advantage of the surrounding beaches with clear waters, white sands, and an array of local wildlife, such as monkeys and sloths.
- Check into your hotel in time for a beautiful sunset overlooking the water views.
- Overnight stay at El Faro Hotel or similar.
Day 7: Manuel Antonio/Pacific
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Enjoy a full day at leisure to swim in the pacific, venture through the national park or go exploring to other nearby areas.
- You may choose to sign up for a Travel. Your Way! Optional excursion: Guided Tour of the rain forest and the beach at Manuel Antonio National Park.
- Overnight stay at El Faro Hotel or similar.
Day 8: Departure Day
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Transfer back to San José City and the Juan Santamaria
- International Airport.
