Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival Day/Monte Verde
- Meet and greet at the Juan Santamaría International Airport.
- Transfer to the Monteverde Cloud Forest.
- Afternoon at leisure to explore the many wonders of this nature haven.
- Enjoy a welcome dinner in one of the area’s typical restaurants
- Overnight at Hotel Heliconia
Day 2: Monteverde
- The guide will pick you up at the reception of the hotel to experience a great combination of activities including a Canopy tour through the cloud forest, and the amazing hanging bridges walking above forest amidst the top of the trees.
- Afternoon at leisure to visit other local attractions, experience some hiking or do some additional wildlife viewing.
- Experience a night walk through the forest to observe a variety of wildlife while walking through a private reserve.
- Overnight at Hotel Heliconia
Day 3: Monteverde/Arenal
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Visit the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. Make an unforgettable visit to the little hummingbird gallery located outside the reserve.
- Depart for one of the top destinations in Costa Rica: La Fortuna Village, home of the majestic Arenal Volcano National Park.
- Arrival at Arenal and check into the hotel.
- Afternoon at leisure.
- Overnight at Los Lagos Hotel & Spa which is one of the most attractive hotels due to the famous thermal waters and natural pools you can enjoy here
Day 4: Arrival San Jose
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Depart for San Jose City, Costa Rica’s capital.
- Visit the Britt Coffee Plantations en route and learn about how coffee is locally processed and internationally sold.
- Lunch is included today
- Visit the mini butterfly garden, where you will be surrounded by these colorful beauties.
- Continue the journey to the city.
- Afternoon at leisure to explore the historic center or do some last-minute shopping.
- We highly recommend visiting Barrio Escalante for the farewell dinner (dinner not included).
- Overnight at Aurola Holiday Inn Hotel.
Day 5: San Jose
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Departure to the International Airport Juan Santamaría to take your flight back home
