Itinerary
Day 1: Drive to Monteverde
- Pick up your 4 wheel-drive rental car at the airport and start your adventure!
- Make your way towards the Monteverde Cloud Forest area, with plenty of panoramic views, local villages and nice restaurants en route.
- Upon arrival, we recommend you sign up for an optional tour (not included): an evening guided walking tour through the beautiful and mysterious cloud Forest. Overnight at Ficus Hotel or similar
Day 2: Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve
- Breakfast at the hotel
- Enjoy your day at leisure in Monteverde where you can explore the reserve on your own.
- You may also want to sign up for an optional guided tour such as a Canopy tour, the hanging bridges and other options. Check out the optional tours below. Overnight at Ficus Hotel
Day 3: Papagayo Gulf
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Today, drive from Monteverde to the beautiful and famous Guanacaste province, up to the Papagayo Gulf.
- Your hotel faces the Bay of Playa Panama, a setting surrounded by exuberant nature and marine life where you can unwind and enjoy the sandy beaches.
- Take some time to soak it all in and relax for the next couple of days. Overnight at Golden Palm Beach Hotel
Day 4: Papagayo Gulf
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Day at leisure to enjoy the beach.
- From the hotel there are many activities to do, including fishing, snorkeling, diving lessons and sunset boat tours.
- You may also want to take an optional guided tour to Rincon de la Vieja National Park, or to the canopy nearby. Check out the optional tours below. Overnight at Golden Palm Beach Hotel
Day 5: Drive back to San Jose
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- According to your scheduled flight you will work your way back towards San Jose today.
- Return your car rental by 5:00 pm at the San José airport and say goodbye to Costa Rica! Pre or post nights are also available in San Jose. Ask us for details!
